The National Troupe for Folkloric Music
By the initiative of Soliman Gamil “The National Troupe for Folkloric Music” was founded in 1993. The troupe’s objective is to revive the musical Folkloric heritage of Egypt. Eight skilled musicians have been performing the diversity of music and rhythm in each region of the land by their traditional musical instruments. Their debut concert took place in Cairo Opera House and was attended by Farouk Hosni, Minister of Culture. “The National Troupe for Folkloric Music” has participated in many international festivals and earned several awards.
